Sponsorship advert research

In this video there are two of the sponsorship advert for Coronation Street. In these adverts what they have done is taken a flavor of the show they are sponsoring (in this case, the setting) and merging it with their own advert.

This is what I intend to do and have decided to run my sponsorship sequence for Hell's Kitchen. This in particular because I thought keeping hands clean with hand soap is relevant to a cooking show. Although there are other cooking shows out there that my product would fit the criteria of, Hell's Kitchen has an average viewer count of over 4 million people. This is a great slot to have an advert.

Web pop up final version

Now that I have the final image of my own hand soap bottle that I made the label for I can now place the photograph that I have taken myself onto my web pop up.

I have taken some of the final photographs that I need and have been on photoshop to create a mock up of the final pop up to get an idea for layout that I can then place the final images straight on to.

I have photoshopped my web pop up into a web browser to show just how it would look opened in a browser.

Plans for this week

Now that I have my product packaging ready and a handdrawn draft for my web pop up, I can film the shot that I need involving the soap bottle and also take the photographs for my Web pop up this week.

The Label

I had the sticker with my label printed off on to a few pages varying in size. This was to help make sure that the size was okay and that I had more than one to work with if something went wrong with the first one.

Web pop up research

In my lesson today I am going to be creating a draft for my web pop up, as one of my ancillary tasks. I started by taking a screen shot of the browser I use, to then use this a template for my web pop up.

I have looked at examples from the internet of web pop ups

In all of these adverts there is at least one picture to tempt the consumer into pursuing the advert further. Also in these advert there is an element of getting something for nothing, an offer that is on. This will entice the consumer. There is also definitely a section of the advert which is boldly coloured.

A hyperlink should be included so that the advert leads somewhere, preferably it would lead to somewhere that an email address could be entered as that the main purpose of a web pop up.

Making the sticker

For my advert I wanted to create my own sticker which I can the bottle to be shown in my advert. To test out how it look, I first photoshopped the logo and the detail text onto one of my style model bottles.

I began the process by taking out the logo, this was done by cropping and overlaying nearby sections to keep it looking realistic.

Having removed most of the other text, I inserted my already made logo on to the bottle

Similarly, with the other texts, I fitted them onto the bottle where I felt they would sit appropriately. I chose to just keep mine text based as I felt this would appeal to a wider audience, for instance, both male and female consumers.  

Finally, I was pleased with the layout, I have straightened out the text and it is now ready to be printed and placed on to an existing bottle dispenser.
